In Cyclone dust collector , dust laden air enters the cylindrical/conical body of the dust collector tangentially at the top by the suction draft produces by the exhaust blower and flow assumes a vortex pattern as it travels helically downwards. Centrifugal force from the air’s tangential velocity causes the heavier dust particles to move radically outward toward the wall of the dust collector . When the particles reach the wall, friction and gravity force them to descend and these dust particles falls down into the bottom hopper of the dust collector. These dust get collected into the trays placed at the bottom and are taken out periodically and emptied.  The air spirals upward and exits at the top of the cyclone where additional dust filter bags are provided to trap the fines.
